A Spanish Fort Family is in Need: Fighting Cancer, Recovery, and Hardship In October 2023, life changed forever when she was diagnosed with stage 2b breast cancer.

Since then, her journey has been one of unimaginable strength, perseverance, and pain: • 6 rounds of chemotherapy • Double mastectomy (5/29), followed by complications requiring additional surgeries • Port removal due to severe swelling and phlebitis, swelling she still struggles with daily • 25 rounds of radiation • Total hysterectomy (1/16)

This grueling battle has left her dealing with constant pain, neuropathy, extreme depression, and anxiety. Every day feels like a new hurdle—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Meanwhile, her husband—a dedicated father and provider—has had to make heartbreaking sacrifices. When the diagnosis came, he gave up his job as an over-the-road truck driver to stay home and care for his wife and children. He’s found local work, but it doesn’t come close to covering the family’s mounting expenses.

On top of this, he had ACL/MCL surgery in December, leaving him in recovery and out of work for weeks. The financial strain has been devastating:

• They lost their car in bankruptcy and are now struggling to afford a reliable, larger vehicle for their family.

• Their dryer broke during a recent snowstorm, and the laundry is piling up—a small but overwhelming challenge when facing so much.

• Medical bills, everyday expenses, and the cost of recovery are piling on top of everything else. This family is fighting so hard to get through these hardships together, but they need help. She’s still in recovery from her hysterectomy, and her husband, though trying his best, has limited mobility as he heals. They both feel stretched beyond their limits, but they’re determined to keep going for their family. Your support can make all the difference. Whether it’s helping them with medical bills, fixing or replacing their dryer, or simply giving them the chance to catch their breath, every donation counts. Please, if you’re able, consider donating to help this family during their time of need. Your kindness and generosity can bring them the relief they so desperately need. Thank you for reading and for caring. Every little bit helps bring them one step closer to brighter days.
